谢天笑作为中国摇滚乐的新精神领袖在中国摇滚圈的地位一直在以一种特殊状态不断攀升，被中国大陆媒体称为“中国摇滚土壤里绽放的奇丽花朵”的他在 2005年《谢天笑与冷血动物X.T.X》专辑中首次加入了古筝和更丰富的东方音乐元素，由此获得“华人乐坛的Bruce Lee”的称号。
